Let's start easy, who are you?
I'm Rima. You can find out more about me here.

So what's Principia Comica?
Principia Comica is a series of webcomics that had something or a rather to vaguely do with philosophical topics which I would post (roughly) every Sunday or so from 2008-2010 .

Why "Principia Comica"?
It's a reference to G.E. Moore, Newton and Bertrand Russell.

Alright, so what about PhilosφNinja?
The idea for PhilosφNinja came originally from this comic and during that summer inbetween having completed my undergrad and waiting for my masters program to start, I had the most ingenius idea of giving myself more work by writing an actual serialised comic about a Ninja Philosopher.

What's the story of PhilosφNinja?
This basic premise is that the protagonist, Psi, falls asleep one night while marking undergraduate papers and awakens on Twin-Earth. Further, she's not alone, she has a new companion - a daimon named Phi. PhilosφNinja will follow her journeys on both Twin-Earth and the Actual-World.

What philosophical topics does PhilosφNinja deal with?
Since it's based on the premise of a grad student who can travel to Twin-Earth the main topic that will always be looming in the forefront is the metaphysics of modality along with topics such as reference and indexicals. But of course other areas and topics are going to also appear e.g. ethics.

Are the comics going to be educational in any way?
They may (and I say 'may' very lightly) have some educational benefit, but I am a philosopher drawing comics about philosophy for other philosophers. So while drawing and writing these comics I assume that whoever is reading them will have some familiarity with these philosophical concepts and topics. PhilosφNinja is a work of philosophical fiction so it's better suited for entertainment than education.

How often does the comic update?
Each Sunday.

Will Principia Comica be returning?
At this point I'm not sure. PhilosφNinja is taking up the majority of my time but it will go on break over the summer at which point Principia Comica may sporadically post over the break.

Can I share your comics on my website, blog, powerpoint presentation, etc.?
Feel free. The more people who know about PhilosφNinja and Principia Comica the better. The copyright information can be found here, but basically: all the work is free for non-commerical use but you must attribute the work to me, since I did create it. If you're not sure then you can always contact me, and my contact information is on the contact page.

And finally,who's your favourite Philosopher?
John Stuart Mill, without a doubt.
