MAIN CHARACTERS

PSI

Psi is the protagonist of our story. She is an ABD graduate student writing a dissertation on some abstract topic that no non-philosophically educated administrator (or even some that are) could ever see the importance or impact of. Her graduate department is currently under threat of being shut down while it faces severe budget cuts regardless of how much money they pull in from the government. However, she has bigger worries. She finds herself with the uncanny ability to travel to Twin-Earth in her pyjamas whenever she falls asleep and it has fallen upon her shoulders to uncover Emperor Piro and Portia o'Sire's nefarious plot for Actual-World Domination.

PHI
Phi is Psi’s daimon who guides Psi during her adventures on Twin-Earth. He communicates to Psi through her thoughts but other than that, not much is known about him. Can Phi be trusted, or does he have a perverse plot of his own?

Other Characters

PORTIA O'SIRE

Portia o'Sire is another Philosopher who crossed over from Actual-Earth to Twin-Earth and quickly made Twin-Earth her home. She is the leader of the Truthmakers and Emperor Piro's Second-in-Command.

EMPEROR PIRO
Ira Piro is the ruler of Twin-Earth. Originally the head of the Truth-Party when they accumulated enough power it became the ruling party. He is a decorated war veteran who served as an Admiral and during his tenure in the navy he lost his leg. His wooden leg has been used to fix the reference of one metre on Twin-Earth.
